Rajasthan's first qualified and certified Intensives (ICU specialist) FNB/FCCM - National Board, Dr. Shabbar H. K. Joad's work has been recognized by many societies by awarding him fellowship like Indian College of Critical Care Medicine (FICCM), American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM), American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). He has previously worked at Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital, Jaipur; Ruby Hall, Pune and PD Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai. he is pioneer in starting many of the recent and advanced practices in Critical Care specialty in Rajasthan e.g. first CPR Team (1999). In addition to critical care and emergency his interest lies in ICU Performance Improvement, Patient Safety and Infection Control. He teaches Critical Care and Emergency medicines to physicians in courses like FICCM,  IDCCM, IDCCN- nursing and CCC for MBBS physicians, Diploma and Masters of Emergency Medicine. He is instructor for FCCS(USA), ACLS USA), ATLS(IC), PALS, BASIC and Intensive Care Nephrology (Chinese University of Hong Kong), Mechanical Ventilation, Trauma Life Support, EMLS-Emergency Medicine Life Support, Critical Care Ultrasound. He is also an executive at Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, Jaipur Chapter and Society of Emergency Medicine India.
