Dr. Mubarakunnisa compeleted her MD in Internal Medicine from the prestigious KMC Manipal University. Her MD thesis was presented at the IDF conference held at Melbourne in 2013. She completed her DM Medical Oncology from M.S.Ramaiah Medical College. She was honored with gold medal from Rajiv Gandhi University for the highest marks in Medical Oncology.
